daily morning routines using 
the simple present tense. 


DAILY MORNING ROUTINES and HABITS
Daily morning routines and habits are the activities that you do every morning. 

One of the purposes of the simple present tense is to discuss everyday activities.

Typically, we use the following adverbs of frequency when discussing habits or routines:
always, often, usually, typically, sometimes, rarely, never.

  • to wake up
I always wake up at 6 a.m. Monday through Friday.


  • to get up
She gets up at 7 a.m. every day.


  • to brush (your teeth)
I brush my teeth before breakfast.


  • to take (a shower)
He takes a shower before going to work.


  • to check (your email)
Alice checks her email every morning.


  • to surf (the Internet)
Leon never surfs the Internet during breakfast.


  • to do (yoga)
She typically does yoga and meditation in the morning.
